Privacy, kept simple.
This is a personal site. It is built to respect your privacy by default, so there is no cookie banner to click through and nothing to opt out of.
No tracking cookies
The site uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics). It does not set advertising or tracking cookies, does not store identifiers on your device, and does not build a profile of you across other websites. Because nothing is stored on your device for tracking, UK PECR consent (the “cookie banner”) does not apply.
What is measured
Only aggregate, anonymous usage: which pages are viewed, roughly how long, where visitors arrived from, how far essays are read, and which templates are downloaded. This is counted in aggregate to improve the site. It is not linked to you as an individual.
The diagnostic
The Honest Programme diagnostic runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to a server and nothing is stored. Close the tab and they are gone.
Templates and contact
Downloading a template requires no sign-up and no email. If you email me directly, I use your message only to reply. I do not run a mailing list from this site.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask what data is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Given the site stores no personal data about visitors, there is little to act on — but if you have a question, email a.h.karakas@gmail.com.
